‘Again for Tomorrow’ is curated by graduation students of the MA Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art. One of these students is Romanian curator Raluca Voinea, editor of web-based art magazine E-Cart (www.e-cart.ro). The show presents artists who turn to the past to re-imagine the future. Evocation, re-enactment, nostalgic recollection, re-examination, prediction are just some of the methods used to explore different histories.

Many of the works in ‘Again for Tomorrow’ invite the viewer into a process of active reflection. Lia Perjovschi’s Center for Art Analysis (CAA), established in her Bucharest studio in the early nineties, will travel to the UK for the first time. The project will take the form of a ‘detective’s office’ in which Perjovschi will be present three days a week for the duration of the show, asking visitors to interact with her archive.

‘Again for Tomorrow’ offers the viewer a range of environments – theatrical, cinematic, investigative, and conversational – transforming the galleries of the Royal College of Art into a space of exploration and potential.

Events:

Friday 24 March, 19.00-21.00: Lia Perjovschi, Graciela Carnevale and Trama: Agency and Archive;

Saturday 1 April, 16.00-17.00: Presentation: The Art of Dan Perjovschi: ‘My World’; Richard Thomas: A Foray into the Psychedelic Dimensions of Boredom;
