First of all, please allow us to wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2009. It is the new year, bringing us here, at the Ratiu Foundation / Romanian Cultural Centre in London, new and exciting projects, and also some changes.
After a very long, productive and pleasant time spent in our Regent Street offices, we decided to move half of a mile to the north and slightly towards the west, having now as our distinguished neighbour the famous Wallace Collection in Manchester Square. We are also a stone-throw away from Oxford Street/ Bond Street station, Selfridges, Wigmore Hall and Marble Arch station, near Hyde Park.

2009 is a festive year for us, since the Ratiu Foundation celebrates its 30th anniversary (being established by Ion and Elisabeth Ratiu in 1979), and the Cultural Centre its 15th (established in 1994 by a group of UK-based Romanians). We are preparing a number of major surprises to mark these special occasions. Watch this space for more information!
As soon as we are all settled in our Fitzhardinge Street offices and familiarise ourselves with the place, we plan to throw a memorable party, where everyone is invited. More details soon.

Dragi Prieteni,
Permiteti-ne sa va uram un an nou fericit si prosper. 2009 ne-a adus, aici la Fundatia Ratiu si la Centrul Cultural Romanesc din Londra, noi proiecte interesante, precum si cateva schimbari.
Dupa o indelunga perioada de timp, placuta si productiva, petrecuta in birourile noastre din Regent Street, ne-am decis sa ne mutam usor spre nord – vest. Ne putem mandri cu noii si faimosii nostri vecini: celebra Wallace Collection din Manchester Square. Ne aflam, de asemenea, la o aruncatura de bat de Oxford Street/statia Bond Street, magazinul Selfridges, Wigmore Hall si statia Marble Arch, langa Hyde Park.

2009 este un an aniversar atat pentru Fundatia Ratiu, care serbeaza treizeci de ani de activitate (fiind infiintata de Ion si Elisabeth Ratiu in 1979), cat si pentru Centrul Cultural Romanesc din Londra, care a ajuns la cea de a cincisprezecea aniversare (infiintat in 1994 de un grup de romani stabiliti in Marea Britanie). Avem in pregatire o serie de evenimente de anvergura, aparte, pentru a marca aceste doua ocazii. Nu schimbati canalul – vom reveni cat de curand cu mai multe informatii!
Odata ce terminam instalarea in noile noastre birouri din Fitzhardinge Street si ne familiarizam cu cladirea, planuim o petrecere de zile mari, deschisa tuturor. Mai multe detalii curand.
