Born in 1984 in Bucharest, Romania, Victor Nicoara began his studies at the ‘George Enescu’ music school, which he attended between 1991 and 2003. During this period he won numerous prizes both in Romania and abroad, including First Prize in the National Youth Competition for Music. He is currently at the Royal College of Music in London where he studies piano with Andrew Ball and composition with Huw Watkins. Victor attended piano master-classes with distinguished professors such as Peter Feuchtwanger, Pietro De Maria, Paul Badura-Skoda, Leslie Howard and composition master-classes with Marek Kopelent, Vladimir Bokes and Masataka Mastuo.

Andrei Simion started playing cello aged 9, at the ‘George Enescu’ music school Bucharest studying with Ani Marie Paladi. He won numerous awards in national and international competitions and after studying in Romania he received a full scholarship to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK. He is currently an undergraduate student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, studying with Prof Louis Hopkins.

While studying in London, Victor Nicoara and Andrei Simion are supported by the Ratiu Foundation UK.
