16-19 November 2006 – Performance: ‘Soul-étude’. Installation by Petr Nikl with music by The Balanescu Quartet. World Premiere.

A visual feast beneath the streets of Clerkenwell. Magic, trickery and thrills are guaranteed as Czech’s renowned installation artist, Petr Nikl, is let loose in the abattoir to the music of The Balanescu Quartet. Four physical performers inhabit Peter Nikl’s astonishing, working mechanical installations to take us on a journey through air, water and sound.

21-22 November 2006 – Performance: ‘The Mona Lisas’ by Brigitte Louveaux. With Teatrul Ariel, Romania and Theatre Melange, UK. London Premiere.

The Mona Lisas has been developed over 12-months in Romania at Teatrul Municipal Ariel with the Directors, Designers, Actors, Production and Management teams of both Ariel and Theatre Mélange. Ariel’s work, under the direction of Doina Migleczi, stems from a highly visual tradition and their international reputation is quickly growing. The Mona Lisas is their first major tour to the UK.

21-27 November 2006 – Exhibition: Photographs by Calin Piescu

Calin Piescu is a Romanian who has found an inspired way to combine his passion for theatre and photography. This is his first exhibition in London after which he will be exhibiting throughout Europe in Madrid, Munich, Paris, Rome and Vienna (supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute).
