Benjamin Britten: Three Divertimenti for String Quartet; String Quartet No. 2 in C Op. 36; String Quartet No. 3 Op. 94.

As a leading exponent of the work of Benjamin Britten the Belcea Quartet is well placed to open Wigmore Hall’s Britten Weekend marking the 30th anniversary of the composer’s death. Philip Langridge, long associated with the role of Aschenbach, will read excerpts from Death in Venice before the performance of String Quartet No. 3.
