This concert is being given by violinist Jennifer Holt. As a soloist, Jennifer’s playing has been described as superlative and proficient. Winner of the E M Pearce Prize for instrumental music, and chosen as the 2003 Young Duo artist, Jennifer has performed numerous concertos with orchestras around the country. She has performed concertos with the PGS Orchestra, the Bridport Chamber Orchestra, the Bournemouth Philharmonic, and the Trinity College of Music Sinfonia.
Also in the programme: Brahms – 3 Hungarian Dances; Saint-Saens – Havanaise in E, Op 83 and Danse Macabre in G minor, Op 40; Bernstein – Suite from ‘West Side Story’, (arr. Joshua Bell); Kodaly – Adagio; Massenet – Meditation from ‘Thais’; Kreisler – Praeludium and Allegro in the style of Pugnani.
