The topic of the talk is ‘Threat or Opportunity : Romanian and Bulgarian Accession to the EU?’. In the first ten days of 2007 more than one thousand Romanians arrived in the UK . They were not all welcome, but they were all here legally. Mr Richard Ralph, former British ambassador to Romania , will guide the audience through the opportunities and dangers presented by a European Union expanding ever-eastwards.
