Social meeting: preparation of ‘mucenici’ and other Romanian traditional dishes. In the programme there will be Romanian folk music and other entertainment.
‘Mucenici’, literally meaning ‘martyrs’ are special Romanian traditional cakes with walnuts and honey that are made only once a year, with the occasion of the feast of the Forty Martyrs (9 March). Depending on the region in Romania, they are either baked or boiled.
