French composer and pianist Thierry Huillet and acclaimed Romanian violinist Clara Cernat present a musical painting inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s classic story and allegory, ‘The Little Prince’.
The music takes you on to a trip into space, projecting you into the infinitely large (and infinitely small) universe of the most widely read book in the world.
The violin’s beautiful, emotional themes touch our hearts, and the piano portrays ‘star dust’, the mystery of the eternal human universe. A little boy, his voice recorded as in a dream, tells us his story, and becomes our conscience
Beside the pianist Thierry Huillet, Clara Cernat travelled the world and made some reference recordings like the George Enesco’s sonatas, Ernest Bloch, Joaquin Turina. Those records were unanimously greeted by the specialized press (ffff Télérama, Recommandé par Classica, Coup de Coeur Piano-Le Magazine, Le Choix de France Musiques, Diapason, Le Monde de la Musique, etc). A lot of Clara Cernat’s concerts and recordings have been broadcasted (BBC, France Musique, Deutsche Welle, etc).
Her double passion for the violin and the viola enables her to explore a very vast repertory rich and expressive. She performs in many countries, France, Spain, England, Malaysia, Germany, USA, etc. Clara Cernat is a professor at the Toulouse conservatoire and at the centre d’enseignement supérieur de musique de Toulouse.
