The girl is eleven and all she wants to do is find a new home. But she's been on this boat for what feels like forever. She can’t remember her name, or the last time she saw one of the litter lands. For miles around it’s just her, the sea creatures and her twin sister. And her twin has been asleep for a very long time.

BOAT is the debut play from award-winning poet and novelist Kiran Millwood Hargrave. Using her unique voice she explores the psyche of a girl who has been wrenched from her own country and thrust into an unfamiliar new world.

Form-bending theatre company PIGDOG's Artistic Directors, Max Barton (director) and Shawn Soh (designer), work with renowned sound artist Jethro Cooke to create a world vivid enough to do justice to Kiran's stunning imagery.

The diverse cast and creative team include artists from Singapore, Romania, Mexico and British artists of Indian and Jewish descent.

All performances will be Extra-Live/Relaxed.
