Romanian actress Olivia Popica performs in ‘Thick Skin’ play by Sandra Thompson-Quartey and produced by Writer's Avenue Theatre Company. The play will be present in the two days programme ‘The Backstory’ at Lost Theatre, where there will be showcased short plays based on The Boyband by Sam Benjamin; the winning play of The First 20 Minutes 2014.

29 year old Darren reunites with three friends from his university days for the funeral of their mutual friend. They soon find themselves revaluating their life choices and the prospect of turning thirty. When Darren finds out the dream girl he let get away is getting married he decides to go on a mission to win her back. But Darren's quest is plunged into a world of 90s Boyband RnB & Pop music, as his old friends try to persuade him to re-form their old singing group and enter a new singing contest.
Each play has a completely new set of characters that live in the world of The Boyband play..

Rival bridesmaids Melanie and Amy and are starting to wonder why they are always the bridesmaid and never the bride. They soon realise they have more in common than they think.
