Director Vasile Nedelcu’s new production brings together three actors and a cellist in a wild and clownish explosion of theatricality. Funny and dark, this surreal comedy by award-winning European writer Matei Visniec goes straight to the heart of intolerance and stupidity. Featuring the intriguing live music of one of the world’s leading avant garde composers, Iancu Dumitrescu.

“In my opinion, Vasile Nedelcu could be considered the champion of Romanian texts of undeniable difficulty, inspirationally staged. His productions assert an authentic artistic vocation and a professional destiny that is worthy of our interest.” Ion Parhon, Free Romania (Romania libera)

The play will be representeed at VAULT Festival 2017 with support from the Romanian Cultural Institute.
