Meet The Girl from the Rainbow at Leicester Square Theatre, London in an exceptional one woman-show by renowned Romanian playwright Lia Bugnar! In the role of The Girl, the award-winning Romanian actress Ilona Brezoianu can review countless movies but she's not your average film critic.  Her workplace is seat 13 in the Rainbow Cinema - and in the course of providing her very special services to her various male clients, she also gets to see a lot of films.  And she has many tales to tell.

A wonderful one-woman show that will make you laugh and cry, as she recounts her incredible stories and draws you into her unique world. During her performance, she talks about her life, her dreams... and her clients. And she sings - beautiful, haunting Gypsy music to chase away her loneliness.

Lia Bugnar is a Romanian actress, theatre director, playwright and screenwriter. Her theatre plays are welcomed by critics and audiences alike and are produced in many theatres in Bucharest and in cities around the country. Her plays Bones for Otto and The 4 of Us were previously presented at Leicester Square Theatre and were very well received by the public.

Ilona Brezoianu is a young multi-award winning Romanian theatre and film actress. She performed in the acclaimed Sieranevada by Cristi Puiu and she received many theatre awards for her performance in the one-woman show The Girl from The Rainbow by Lia Bugnar.

This event is organised by Poveşti spuse-n româneşte.
