On the evening of Thursday 3 February 2011, Romanian actor and manager extraordinaire Constantin Chiriac took part in a public discussion, hosted by Dr Mike Phillips OBE, at the Ratiu Foundation. Constantin talked about his work as an actor and as director of one of the biggest festivals in Central and South-Eastern Europe, the Sibiu International Theatre Festival. Instigated by Mike Phillips, a long-time friend and critic of Constantin's, the discussion also touched on the issue of political pressure on cultural management, and on the future of the European cultural landscape. The event was concluded by an animated Q&A session and a reception. [gallery]
