Massimo Gon and Nadia Lasserson began playing together in Tirana where they were both on the Jury of EPTA Albania’s Piano Competition in 2014. Their programme will include the UK premiere of an exciting transcription of Georges Enescu’s First Romanian Rhapsody for two pianos and works by Bach and Schumann.
Nadia Lasserson studied at the Royal Academy of Music and won the Manns Memorial Prize. An experienced performer of chamber music and concertos, with recent performances of five by Mozart and Beethoven’s Emperor and Piano Concerto No 2. Nadia teaches at. Royal College and Trinity College of Music Junior Departments, JAGS in Dulwich and runs a private teaching studio. A festival adjudicator and former AB Examiner, Nadia is the founder of Piano 40 (a piano quartet of 8 hands at 2 pianos). Her publication Piano Neednt Be Lonely is now in its third edition. She is the Organising Secretary for EPTA. Recordings include Mendelssohn/Schubert (violin and piano) and Contemporary works commissioned by Piano 40.
 
Massimo Gon started playing the piano when he was 5 years old. He is the Head of Piano at the 'Giuseppe Tartini' Music Academy, Trieste where he studied with Luciano Gante, with Vincenzo Vitale and also Nikita Magaloff’s summer courses in Geneva. Winner of National and International Competitions, he has performed in several renowned Italian venues, Europe, the United States and in South America. He concentrates on Romantic and Twentieth Century repertoire and has premiered many new works. Recordings include Rachmaninov, contemporary music and the highly acclaimed Second version of Liszt’s 12 Transcendental Studies.
