When it’s time to party you want it hot and fiery and Paprika will put jumping beans in your Rhythmtree boots.
Over the past couple of years they’ve become the “must see” Eastern European band bringing traditional Balkan and Romany music back to life and propelling it forward with an irresistible and infectious enthusiasm.
It’s taken them around the globe and put them on some of the world’s most prestigious stages from the Sydney Opera House to the Royal Albert Hall and now they’re coming to Rhythmtree!
BBC 6 Music’s Cerys Matthews is a huge fan and frequently plays Paprika tracks on her Sunday morning show but she says “I still wasn't prepared for the energy and brilliance of their live show-if you see any gigs coming up I'd be sure to hot foot my way to the front row-these guys will never let you down…they had everyone jumping for joy. A must see”.
“A whirlwind tour of the Balkan countries, each piece becoming a firm favourite before being superseded by the next. Toe-tappingly good, with the audience whooping and cheering from the first note.”
