Please join us for a beautiful concert in support of ASHFORD PLACE, a community advice and support service based in North London, facilitating positive change for individuals, amongst them Romanians, through the provision of a range of programmes including; housing, health, training and employment.

THURSDAY 6 MARCH 2014 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm  at the Ratiu Family Foundation (RFF) in Manchester Square, 18 Fitzhardinge Street, London W1H 6EQ

Please follow the link to our Facebook Event Page

The talented duo BOGDAN VACARESCU (violin) and VICTORIA WALKER (cello) will perform a special classical recital, which will include Bach - Inventions as well as Handel - Halvorsen Passacaglia. The evening will also include a series of short presentations given by speakers who have been intensely involved with a large group of migrant workers in London as well as a short film directed by LUCIEN LAWRENCE about the Romanians in Cricklewood, North London.

We invite you to find out more about PROJECT POD launched by Ashford Place, which aims to open a much needed debate on the problems many Romanians face when arriving in UK, especially those coming from areas characterized by poverty and unemployment. Its objective is to attract support for vulnerable Romanians, in order to facilitate their entrance to the labour market and access to relevant services which could enable them to be independent and, thus, promote a positive image of Romania.

Please contribute to these efforts by donating to Ashford Place towards PROJECT POD. SPEAKERS:

  • Laura Chilintan, researcher for Ashford Place
  • John Doocey, Community Services Director at Ashford Place
  • Lucien Lawrence, Outreach Coordinator at Ashford Place
  • Andrew Mariner, Chief Inspector, Barnet

A reception sponsored by DELI TWIST and ALIRA WINE OF ROMANIA will follow the event.

Admission to the event is free, but we encourage participants to donate generously to the fund. If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, you may do so via Ashford Place's donation page. Please click on the following link to access it.

Also, please pass the invitation to anyone who would be interested in supporting our cause.

Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you
