Easter is the most important Christian orthodox festival in Romania, when families gather and celebrate through various customs and traditions specific to every region of the country. On this occasion, Cultural Encounters Group will mount a display of traditional costumes, handicrafts and Easter eggs, recreating the atmosphere of traditional Romanian homes.

On Saturday, the 27th of April children are invited for a special workshop including drawing, painting and Easter egg decoration, which is a great occasion for cultural exchange. All welcome!

Join us for a weekend dedicated to the celebration of orthodox Easter, a great occasion to find out more about Romanian customs and traditions.

The exhibition will be on display until the 11th of May 2013
Opening times: Sunday 27 April: 15.00-18.00, Monday to Friday: 12.00 – 18.00

This event is organised by: Cultural Encounters Group and The School of Romanian Culture and Tradition in London with the support of The Ratiu Family Foundation/ Romanian Cultural Centre in London and Deli Twist.

Deli Twist is a patisserie serving freshly baked pretzels and pastries and also sweet and savoury twisters.
