SoNoRO Festival began in 2006 and has developed into one of the most creative and appreciated classical music festivals in Eastern Europe. SoNoRo regularly goes on tour, performing in some of the most prestigious international venues, such as Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall and Musikverein, and has initiated collaborations with various European festivals from Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Latvia and the UK. The festival has developed an extended educational project dedicated to gifted young musicians.

The paths of Music and Poetry always cross. The great composers find their inspiration in the sacred and profane, in nature, in the simple everyday life, in birth and death, and, of course, in love. On that note, this year's theme for the festival is The Muse and the Poet.  The concerts will take place in various locations in Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj and Bistrita.
