WHAT THE AUDIENCE HAD TO SAY

“I enjoyed very much the event. I've come here by curiosity to learn what Sibiu has done in the framework of Cap Culture. As part of the people who do culture here, I was very impressed and enjoyed it very much.”
Philippe Peyredieu du Charlat, Director of Projects, National Museums of Liverpool

“It’s been an absolute pleasure for us to be involved in this programme, helping promote Romanian culture in the North West. It was a really enjoyable evening and I was thrilled to be part of it. It’s been fabulous. It’s so important that the UK’s population have the chance to see something they do not normally see.”
Sioned Hughes, Visiting Arts

“An excellent event, a very good bridge between two cultures and two peoples, between Sibiu 2007 and Liverpool 2008, two European Capitals of Culture.”
Dr Mihai Delcea, Head of Consular Department, Embassy of Romania in the UK

About The Ball:

“I thought this was a brilliant play which explained to the audience, with no words, Romania’s history in a direct and vivid way. It was very well acted and I would certainly be interested to see other things by this company in the future.”
Daniel Corden, Lecturer, Edge Hill University

“I don’t recall seeing such a good play in Liverpool, I’m speechless. It was an extremely well done show.”
Carmina Drace-Francis

About Waiting for Godot:

“I came to see Waiting for Godot as I was interested to see the work of the director, Silviu Purcarete. I really enjoyed it. I am very proud to have welcomed Romanian Connections to Liverpool”
Fiona Gasper, Executive Producer, Liverpool Culture Company

“It was an excellent, extremely good adaptation of Waiting for Godot, interpreted in a really interesting way. The acting was top drawer; the set was fantastic, breathtaking really through simplicity. In all honesty, it was one of the very best productions I’ve seen for a long time.“
Laura McAllister, Professor, University Liverpool
