ProFusion International Creative Consultancy brings to Liverpool two extraordinary productions of the prestigious ’Radu Stanca’ National Theatre of Sibiu, Romania.

One of the works is Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, starring two of Romania’s most remarkable actors, and directed by the internationally renowned Silviu Purcarete, whose work featured at Glyndebourne Festival 2008. The other production, The Ball, is a tragicomic tour de force directed by young director Radu Nica relating the history of 20th Century Romania in a couple of hours. The two productions offer, in effect, an overview of the recent cultural and social changes within this new EU member state.

For a taste of Romanian culture, the theatre shows are accompanied by a debate on relevant contemporary issues, a foot-stomping and hip-swinging concert of Eastern European magnitude, and a special Romanian guest at Tate Liverpool.
