Tuesday 13 March 2007 18.30 – 20.30, The Romanian Cultural Centre, 8th floor, 54-62 Regent Street, London W1B 5RE; Tel. 020 7439 4052, ext 102; e-mail: mail@ratiufamilyfoundation.com; Entry is free but booking is essential. After three successful years of the AVmotional Audiovisual Platform festival and events, Romanian-Bulgarian artists Mihaela Kavdanska and Dilmana Iordanova, the initiators of this project, have come to London to present their activity. AVmotional was born in 2004 out of the need for a platform where contemporary visual artists and musicians can meet and work together. AVmotional presents and supports innovative audio-visual projects, based on multimedia technology, high-tech or low-tech, by some of the most influential artists in the field from Romania and abroad. Besides the presentation of the festival, you will have the chance to see a screening of the AVmotional DVD, as well as the Making of AVmotional 2006, a documentary produced and broadcast by TVR2, the second channel of the public Romanian television station. More details on the AVmotional Audiovisual Platform at http://blog.avmotional.com. ‘Culture Power’ is a programme initiated by the Ratiu Foundation, consisting of a number of seminars focused around a presentation followed by a constructive dialogue with an invited audience. The domains are varied, ranging from contemporary art to money remittances and political theory, passing through architectural studies and advertising. David Webster will chair the discussions. Organised by The Ratiu Foundation UK www.ratiufamilyfoundation.com
